Jamie Oliver is a British chef and TV star, born 1975 in Essex. He soon became famous from his television series The Naked Chef in 1998; the success of the show won him a BAFTA Award for the best television series in the Features Category in 2000. Since then he has gone on to win a number of awards including an MBE in 2003. The success with his television series, Jamie's Kitchen, Jamie's School Dinners, Jamie at Home, Jamie's Ministry of Food, Jamie's 30 Minute Meals and more has made him become a best-loved television personality and a British icon. He has also been the face of Sainsbury’s. In 2002 Jamie opened Fifteen, a restaurant that gives young aspiring chefs the chance to gain professional training through the apprenticeship. Then in 2008 Jamie opened a number of restaurants called Jamie’s Italian, offering great quality, affordable, authentic Italian food.
